There's a nice steady rain that's been falling since yesterday and it got me to thinking about fertilizing the lawn.
April is a good time to think about fertilizing your lawn. If you can try to plan your fertilization just prior to a nice steady rainfall so that it has time to soak in. If you don't get rain within 24 hours, you'll need to water your lawn as the nitrogen can dissipate into the atmosphere.
Also, if you're going to deal with weeds and dandelions with a weed and feed, be especially careful not to get it on your flowers or vegetable areas as it will kill those items just like it would a weed.
