1st Tomato of the season!!

I walked out to the garden yesterday and saw this little baby.  She grew a bit overnight too:

I started spraying the blossoms with apple juice a few days ago to "set the blossoms" and haven't lost hardly any.  It's the methane in the apple juice, I'm told that helps.  All I know is when I don't do it, I see lots of blossoms laying on the ground.  When I do it, the fruit sets and I don't. ;-)  Thanks to Reaganite Sr. for that little tip.

  1. I am soooo jealous. Mine are not quite a foot tall yet. Thanks for the tip too. Oh, by the way.We worked on the automatic irrigation today. Got all the lines buried, and everything put in except the pvc lines I am going to drill to distribute the water. We spent 4.5 hrs today getting everything run. Next yr, I hope to get the mini greenhouses in. Between you and LDSprepper on youtube.....I have lots of "I wants", lol
